Microsoft meets Oracle head-on in every one of its markets at once: SQL Server and Azure SQL against Oracle Database, Azure against Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Dynamics 365 against Oracle's ERP and HCM applications.
Through AWS, Amazon is the largest seller of the cloud computing capacity Oracle's OCI sells, and its managed databases (Aurora, RDS, Redshift) are the main destination for companies migrating off Oracle Database.
SAP is Oracle's historic rival for the enterprise applications budget, selling the same large organisations the ERP, finance and supply-chain software that Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications competes for.
Google Cloud bids against OCI for the same infrastructure and AI-training workloads, and its BigQuery and Spanner databases target the same enterprise data estates.
IBM sells the same large enterprises a competing database (Db2), hybrid-cloud platforms and the systems-integration services that overlap with Oracle's own services segment.
Salesforce competes for the same subscription spending on customer-facing cloud applications, directly against Oracle's CX, marketing and, through its acquisitions, human-resources and analytics suites.

- 2d agoNEGATIVELe azioni Oracle scendono del 4%: perché un analista vede un rialzo del 120%
Oracle shares plunged 4% to $123.94, extending their year-to-date decline to 36% and heading for their worst annual performance since 2001. The stock has fallen 54% over the past 12 months, including a 16% drop in the last month. This downturn occurs despite robust demand for Oracle's services and continued growth in its contracted revenue backlog. Investors are currently weighing the company's significant financing needs for its AI infrastructure expansion, leading to concerns about debt levels and growth prospects, which outweigh the positive demand signals.
- 4d agoPOSITIVELe azioni Oracle salgono quasi del 2% oggi: ecco perché
Oracle Corporation (ORCL) shares climbed 1.92% following news of an expanded healthcare AI collaboration with AstraZeneca. This partnership aims to leverage AI technologies for identifying clinical trial patients, enhancing care pathways, and bridging medical research with routine clinical practice. The initiative underscores Oracle's strategy to broaden AI applications beyond its cloud infrastructure. Analysts also noted improving demand for Oracle's software and potential support from Nvidia for its data center expansion plans. Despite ongoing scrutiny over data center investment costs, the positive developments in AI and strategic partnerships are driving investor sentiment.
- 5d agoPOSITIVELa prossima grande opportunità AI di Oracle potrebbe non riguardare i data center
Oracle has entered into a non-binding collaboration with AstraZeneca focused on AI in healthcare, signaling a strategic pivot beyond its core data center business. The partnership aims to leverage Oracle's technology and AstraZeneca's health data to enhance clinical trial identification, patient care pathways, and the integration of medical research with routine healthcare. This move suggests a significant commercial opportunity for Oracle in specialized healthcare technology sales to pharmaceutical companies and hospitals, diversifying its revenue streams from solely cloud infrastructure services. Investors will be watching to see if this specialized AI application can drive substantial growth and profitability.
- 11d agoPOSITIVEPerché le azioni Oracle stanno guadagnando il 4% oggi?
Oracle shares surged 3% on Tuesday as investors reacted positively to the company's proposed electrical agreement for its Project Jupiter AI data center in New Mexico. The deal with El Paso Electric aims to secure power during the critical construction and commissioning phases, while also addressing emergency power and worker safety needs. This initiative complements Oracle's existing plan to utilize Bloom Energy's fuel cell microgrid as a primary power source. Additionally, a separate collaboration with Microsoft and Marvell Technology on data center security further bolsters investor confidence. These developments underscore Oracle's aggressive expansion in the AI infrastructure space.
- 15d agoNEUTRALOracle vacilla: ricavi in crescita e valutazione scontata innescheranno un rimbalzo?
Oracle shares have experienced a significant downturn, falling 42% from their yearly high to trade at $142.35. This decline is largely attributed to investor focus on OpenAI, a major client, which is reportedly facing revenue challenges. Recent reports suggest OpenAI's annualized revenue is below $50 billion, significantly lower than media speculation and trailing competitors like Anthropic. While Oracle's stock shows signs of forming a bottom, suggesting a potential short-term rebound, the ongoing uncertainty surrounding OpenAI's performance and the broader AI competition introduces considerable risk. Investors are closely monitoring these developments for any signs of a sustained recovery.
- 18d agoNEUTRALBinance bStocks Will Reinvest Oracle And Marvell Dividends Onchain
Binance's bStocks will automatically reinvest cash dividends from Oracle (ORCL) and Marvell (MRVL) into additional fractions of their respective bStocks (ORCLB, MRVLB). This process bypasses direct cash payouts to onchain holders, instead adjusting their holdings via a multiplier. While this offers a seamless way to accumulate more bStocks, it represents a change in dividend distribution mechanics rather than a fundamental change in the underlying companies' performance or dividend policy. Investors should note the operational aspect of dividend handling on the Binance platform.
- 21d agoNEGATIVELarry Ellison Risk Exposed by Paramount and Oracle Debt Binges
Oracle Corp. is increasingly viewed with caution by Wall Street due to its significant debt accumulation, alongside Paramount Global's borrowing spree. Both companies share a prominent link to billionaire Larry Ellison, raising concerns about potential financial strain. This increased leverage could expose Oracle to greater financial risk, potentially impacting its stock performance and investor confidence as debt servicing costs rise and financial flexibility diminishes.
- 25d agoPOSITIVEGood news for OpenAI is great news for Oracle’s stock — here’s why
Oracle's stock is experiencing a surge in investor optimism, directly linked to OpenAI's proximity to a significant revenue milestone. While the specific figures for OpenAI's revenue are not detailed, the market's positive reaction suggests a substantial achievement that is expected to translate into increased demand for Oracle's cloud infrastructure and services, which are crucial for AI development. This news highlights the symbiotic relationship between AI innovation and the underlying technology providers, potentially leading to upward revisions in Oracle's earnings forecasts and increased analyst price targets.
- 25d agoPOSITIVEOracle Connects Bank Payment Systems To Swift’s Blockchain Ledger
Oracle has announced a significant integration of its banking and blockchain infrastructure with Swift's shared ledger, enabling tokenized deposits. This collaboration allows banks to connect their tokenized-deposit systems directly to cross-bank payment flows, maintaining full control over their underlying assets. Oracle Banking Payments will facilitate the seamless connection of these digital-asset flows with existing ISO 20022 processing standards. The move is expected to streamline interbank transactions and foster greater adoption of tokenized assets in the financial sector, potentially enhancing Oracle's position in the financial technology space.
